Insurance Legislation

There are a number of legislative issues at both the state and national level that directly affect the insurance industry and the livelihood of independent agents. IIANC realizes the importance of keeping our members informed on these issues and also acting on their behalf in our daily lobbying efforts with legislators. The following resources can make sure you are knowledgeable about current insurance legislation.

If you have questions about the association's Government Affairs activities, contact Aubie Knight at aknight@iianc.com or 888-274-6897.

Legislative Newsletter

Each week while the state's General Assembly is in session, IIANC distributes an e-newsletter to our members highlighting the state legislation related to insurance. The Raleigh Report provides a quick overview of the bills that IIANC's Government Affairs team is currently tracking in the General Assembly. You can easily find out what the bills aim to do, what legislators are sponsoring the bills, and where they currently are in the approval process.

If you are an IIANC agency or associate member and are not receiving The Raleigh Report, please contact Rena Todd at rtodd@iianc.com to make sure you are on the distribution list.
