What Is CISR?
Beginning January 1, 2014, all William T. Hold Seminars and Dynamics of Service courses will now be 7 Hours and 6 Hours, respectively. The start time will remain the same (8:00 am) but now these classes will end at 4:00 pm instead of 5:00 pm. These courses are open to all agency staff and may also be used to update the CISR designation; however they do NOT count toward obtaining the designation. We hope the shorter day will encourage more CISR designees as well as other agency staff to take these advanced topics courses.

Beginning April 1, 2014, the NINE BASIC CISR courses will be 7 Hours in length instead of 6 Hours.
These classes will now begin at 8:00 am instead of 8:30am and students will receive a full 7 Hours of CE credit. The National Alliance wanted to standardize the CISR format for all states and almost every state other than North Carolina has already been using the 7-Hour schedule. We believe the extra time will be beneficial, especially for the exam takers, as it will allow for a fuller discussion of the course material. Please note, it will continue to be the case that ONLY those students who are pursuing the CISR/CISR-Elite designation will need to take the exam.
The Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) program coaches front-line service professionals to understand and analyze risks and exposures with a top-notch faculty, five stimulating courses, and a curriculum that's tailored to specific regions. These practical continuing education courses will help everyone in the office stay one step ahead in today's increasingly competitive world. The CISR courses are open to any employee of an agency, insurance company or insurance-related business, including customer service representatives, insurance agents and agency managers.
The CISR program is offered through The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
